Today I almost stepped on this guy, who serves as a wonderful reminder to always look down and never count on knowing what’s underneath your feet. It’s easy to glide through life, too exhausted by the work of living to ever stop and, as Ferris Bueller put it, “Smell the roses once in a while.”
